Nye County Needs Leaders with Integrity

"Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken." Micah 4:4 (NIV) speaks not only to the heart of Christian and American values, but also to the Country we aspire to leave our children.

To be great, we must elect leaders (from County Commissioner to President) with a commitment to integrity of character and competence. Leaders with integrity of character inspire trust and confidence. Do you feel confident?

Leaders of competence carry out their duties effectively and responsibly. If your confidence is not shook, it should be. I am reminded whenever I hit a pothole in our deteriorating streets that we as voters, reap what we sow. Why is it that our “anti-corruption politicians” have the worst track records? We will never find rest under our “own vine and fig tree” so long as we fear the character and competence of our leaders.

We must pray for our leaders to conduct their personal and professional lives with integrity of character. We must hope they can find the humility to make decisions with evidence, wisdom, and thoughtfulness. And when they fail, “we the people” must shine the light on those moments of weakness and hold them accountable for their actions; but be equally willing to extend the hand of mercy to those leaders with the courage to admit and correct error. Trust is not given; it is earned through consistent integrity and competence.

Public Safety / Community Safety have been long ignored in Nye County i.e. drunk driving reckless driving speed exhibition involving motorcycles / hot rods / off road vehicles all taking place on country roads with NO sidewalks risking the lives of homeowners and pedestrians. The violations are wilful disregard for Public Safety / Community Safety. It's simply NOT safe to walk on the side of the roads with bonehead reckless drivers engaging in every imaginable level of Public Safety / Community Safety violations. Good citizens trying to comply with the law i.e. speed limits or slightly less because the roads aren't safe or kids playing or pedestrians walking dogs on the side of the road are tailgated and harassed by bonehead reckless drivers. Public Safety / Community Safety need a front row seat in any future discussions and existing office holders need to be pressured to assure Public Safety / Community Safety has the highest priority in Southern Nevada / Nye County. " Trust is not given; it is earned through consistent integrity and competence."...time to "Walk The Talk"...

I agree. It's strange how the majority on the commission voted to dissolve the official office of risk management, and thus make your valid safety concerns harder to voice. But in typical bloated governmental fashion, they did so without saving us tax payers a dime! Way to go phony "anti-corruption commissioner" from District 4 (Boskovich). Way to follow suit Cox and Jabbour. Disgraceful commissioners.

I like Boskhovich is doing a great job and is a true man of integrity! He is a true fiscal hawk who is making sure that our hard earned tax dollars are spent wisely. If there is anyone I would trust with our county money, it's him! Don't forget he got rid of that jerk Blunder. I think the other commissioners shold start listening to him more.

I liked him at first as well. Figured he'd be a fresh face on the board, and he'd be effective. So I'll have to agree to disagree with you. He's an impotent, do-nothing fake conservative. He's vindictive and hates nepotism only when he's not a beneficiary. He is a one term commissioner. He beat Leo because he was not Leo. That's the only reason.

Believe me if he was such a bad leader Donna Cox would have him removed she doesnt put up with baloney. You should ask her and do some research because then you would agree. Evryone knows he is so smart and has heart of gold.

Biden can't continue. They should make Kennedy the Democrat party candidate. If not then its got to be Trump because this is getting embarassing.

Why isn't Pahrump a city???? Let's get rid of these County guys because they aren't getting job done.

The U.S. is in the grips of massive National Security Hazards among them the onslaught and mudslide of terrorists and drug cartels..human trafficking coming in across the southern border. All this thanks to the numerous executive orders by the BidenAdminDisaster along with massive social welfare and medical coverage to each and every illegal alien crossing the border. We have only seen the beginning of the crime wave / home invasions / human poaching / kidnapping / extortion all coming to a neighborhood near you thanks to the BidenAdminDisaster...all law enforcement knows this and are bracing for it...
